The Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, more commonly known as the Eden Roc, is a luxury hotel located on the French Riviera, in the city of Antibes, France. The hotel is situated on a rocky promontory overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, providing a spectacular view of the Juan-les-Pins bay.

The hotel was built in 1869 as a private villa for Antoine Sella, an Italian businessman. The villa was expanded and renovated in the 1920s by a wealthy American named Frank Jay Gould. Gould added an Olympic-sized swimming pool, a tennis court, and a helipad to the property, making the villa one of the most luxurious residences on the French Riviera.

In 1935, the hotel was purchased by Belgian businessman Antoine Sella, who opened the Eden Roc as a luxury hotel in 1936. During World War II, the hotel was used by the French army as a field hospital and later by German troops as their headquarters.

After the war, the Eden Roc became a popular destination for celebrities and political figures, including French President Charles de Gaulle, and actors Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. The famous Cannes Film Festival is also held there.

Over the years, the Eden Roc has undergone numerous renovations and expansions to enhance its facilities and services. In 2007, the hotel reopened after a 40 million euro renovation, which added a new spa, modern suites and rooms, and gourmet restaurants.

Today, the Eden Roc is considered one of the most prestigious and luxurious hotels in the world. It is known for its prime location, exceptional service, and world-class facilities, attracting celebrities, political figures, and luxury travelers from around the globe each year.
